Time is something that is never on our side it seems. Having experienced my first three weeks at college, that is actually how I feel. However, I have realized I have to try and use the time I have wisely. I realized right away the "fun time" I wanted to have was slipping away because I had classes to attend, flag routines to get down, studying, band practice, sleeping, and practicing baton all to get done. I started to think wow how am I going to handle this. Then I started to realize it was just like spring of senior year, I was able to excel then, so I became determined I was going to now.
I love to be involved that was shown last spring when I had myself going a thousand directions a minute I had school, studying, baton to practice, district and chapter officer things to get done, all those last minute senior activities to do, and scholarships to fill out. When I had all these activities going on I never once let myself off the hook. I went to school and studied enough to end high school with honors, practiced baton enough to win five state titles and Miss Majorette of Iowa. Myself along with one other girl organized a district basketball tournament and I helped put on district convention and a chapter banquet. My graduation and everything to do with it was a success and I won thousands of dollars in scholarships.
One thing, that made it possible for me to be so success in everything I did was being organized and making good use of my time all the time. I always kept a planner and didn’t spend time messing around very often, unless time permitted. Knowing what the outcomes are when I do get down to business, made it that much easier for me to do so this year because I knew I would have time for work and play if I was responsible with my time and stayed organized.
Having had the spring I did last year, made it that much easier this year. I know that if I stay organized and make good use of my time, I will be very successful. Every person has to figure out for themselves how to use there time best, I have, have you?

Time is always something I have had trouble managing too. I keep a planner that helps me get the things I need to get done, but I never seem to have a lot of time to do what I really want to. It’s great that you figured out how to manage your time wisely; it sounds like your high school career ended really well.
ReplyDeleteWith all the experience you had last year, I am sure this year will be a piece of cake. Messing around is something that everyone should find at least a little bit of time to do. Otherwise life gets too boring.
ReplyDeleteCollege should be a breeze for you. Sounds like you will have no problems managing your time. Time management is something I need to work on. I usually do things last minute, like this.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you should be successful. What were you a district and chapter officer in though?
ReplyDeleteIt is good to be involved in so many activities. They are the best part of school in my opinion. I think with your attitude you will have no problem succeeding in any area in life.
ReplyDeleteLearning how to time manage as a senior in high school puts you ahead of your peer in as a freshmen in college. Because you already know how to time manage while they are starting to learn the meaning of time management.
ReplyDeleteBy being so involved like you were in high school puts a lot of stress on people. It is awesome that you found the positive in this, time management, because you are going to be that one step a head of your peers.
ReplyDeleteI think that i manage my time well, not as well as you though. When I get that busy I just drink more mountain dew and work longer hours. Congratulations on all your baton work to!
ReplyDeleteHaving a hectic schedual is hard, but I'm glad to see you are able to manage it. I had a very hectic schedaul spring of my senior year with play practice, band, FFA, and golf. Time management is a very good skill to posses in life.
